Hurricane Dorian has already devastated the Bahamas, killing five people. The hurricane is expected to touch down in Florida and both Carolinas soon. In response to the looming natural disaster, Publix is selling hurricane cakes. (If you’ve yet to see them, there are some good examples here.)
While some love the idea and find the cakes hilarious, others find the concept insulting, especially to victims of the destruction. What do you think? Are these funny delicious ways to get away from the stress of hurricane season, or are they making light of a dangerous situation?
