Imagine this scenario: You go to do your laundry in your dorm’s laundry area. Almost all of the washing machines are in use, but one of the washing machines is already finished. On closer inspection, it’s been done for over an hour. You don’t have all day to do your laundry, and it doesn’t look like whoever was using this washer is coming back any time soon.
Out of 13 participants, three opted to leave the laundry where it was, six decided to wait before moving the laundry, and four jumped to immediately move the laundry.
