Every year, high school counselors are given the opportunity to meet with college representatives all in one place and gather information that will help prospective upcoming students choose their future college. The event, Articulations, is intended to help high school counselors and in turn, potential future students.
This year, with A-State as the host, changes were made to ensure a safe environment for the college reps as well as the high school counselors. The event was turned into a drive through, where the college reps would set up tents and counselors could drive through and receive information packets and get to talk with members of the college admissions.

Inside the boxes are sunglasses, pens, and information about the admissions standards and scholarships.
College tents line the parking lot of the Centennial Bank Arena. These tents include, University of Central Arkansas, Harding University, and Ozarka College.

The event was done in a safe manner to abide with Covid-19 precautions. Every college representative wore a mask and the counselors were encouraged to stay inside their vehicles.
Articulations is the “event where high school counselors in the state of Arkansas come to one central location and get information from di erent universities in the state of Arkansas in order to recruit students to their colleges,” says Antwanet Wade (left), an Admissions Counselor at A-State.
“The location of the event changes every year so we just happened to be the host this year. All different colleges and universities are here and high school counselors can just come through and get info and get to chat with the admissions counselors,” says Robert Gordon. A-State hosted the event Tuesday, outside the Centennial Bank Arena.
Each tent had representatives from the college and packets of information about the admissions process, scholarships, and general information about the college itself.
