Campus Black Lives Matter March

A-State students Courtney Atkins, President of the A-State Black Student Association, and Jadyn Lewis, a member of A-State Athletics, helped lead a Black Lives Matter march on campus Thursday, Sept. 17. The march began in the parking lot of the A-State football stadium and ended at the student union. Some students carried signs, some raised fists, and many briefly chanted, “No justice, no peace.”

At the end of the march, students and faculty were offered water and encouraged to visit the voting registration tents to get registered for the upcoming presidential election. Various speakers also presented to conclude the event.
