Tailgating, seating set back to full capacity, and a full band have returned to A-State football. The Red Wolves won the season opener against University of Central Arkansas with a 40-21 victory. This is the first season under new head coach Butch Jones, who was tabbed to lead the Red Wolves’ program in December of 2020. The Sound of the Natural State Band performed a special halftime show to honor Johnny Cash.
