Comic for December 8, 2021

Comic by Fran Bollinger.

Image description: A four panel comic.

Panel one: Two students talking at their desks. A student with an orange shirt and hat asks the other student, “So, do you have any plans for winter break?” The other student, wearing jeans and a blue shirt, answers, “Oh yeah! I have so many!”

Panel two: The student is lying in bed and staring at her phone. A calendar behind her reads “Dec. 24” and there is a Christmas tree outside the window. There is a speech bubble that says, “I’m going to see all my hometown friends.”

Panel three: The student is now lying with her face pressed into her pillow. The calendar now reads “Jan. 1” and there are fireworks outside the window. There are two speech bubbles that read, “Read all the books and watch the TV shows I’ve missed. And go out on New Year’s Eve of course.”

Panel four: The student is now asleep in bed. The calendar reads “Jan. 9” and there is snow outside the window. The speech bubble from the sleeping student reads, “Maybe start a new hobby, finish that video game I bought last month…” The earlier student asks, “Sounds so fun, but are you ever going to relax?” The sleeping student responds, “I’m sure I’ll find time.”
