The 48th annual Miss Arkansas State University was held at the Fowler Center on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Students of A-state competed in this competition for the chance to receive a scholarship of $5,000 and the rights to the sought after title.
The organization to host this competition was the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity who have been presenting this event since 1975.
The former reigning Miss Arkansas State, Riley Roberts, handed over her crown to Miss Riley Strube. She is a sophomore from Cabot, Arkansas and is triple majoring in Sociology, Criminology, and Psychology. Her social initiative is directed at the mental health of all students. This initiative is named “Time 2 Talk” and works to build confidence in the younger students so they may talk about their mental health. The group to support and sponsor Riley’s candidacy in the competition would be the ladies of Zeta Tau Alpha.
