While patrolling Dean Street, Officer Jacob Foster noticed the Collegiate Park exit gate arm was knocked over.
Upon inspecting and attempting to fix the gate arm, Foster noticed it was stuck on the brick wall it fell on and the control panel was not responding. There was no visible damage to the gate arm besides scratches from hitting and being stuck on the brick wall. It was unknown if there were system or electrical damages to the arm.
Upon checking security cameras Foster saw two suspects coming from the direction of
Collegiate Park Building six and heading west toward Dean Street. When the suspects came to the exit gate, Suspect One pushed the gate, knocking it halfway off its hinges. Then, Suspect Two pushed it farther off its hinges, triggering it to attempt to go up and then fall on the brick wall and get stuck.
Both suspects then started to cross Dean Street, where Suspect One attempted to run, but fell in the street. Suspect One got up approximately a minute later and talked to a few individuals in a red Mustang parked in the fire lane in front of Kays Hall.
The suspects proceeded to enter the front entrance of Kay’s Hall and go up to floor eight, where Suspect One lives. Suspect One attempted to sprint through the double doors of the hallway, causing him to fall. He then got up and immediately tried to sprint down the hall, ran into the wall and fell again, causing multiple residents of the hall to come out.
He lay there until four people picked him up and carried him into his room.
Suspect One later came out of his residence in a red shirt, socks and underwear and went down the hall to a different room. A few minutes later, Suspect Two followed him wearing just black shorts.
Foster attempted to make contact with Suspect One and Two with no answer at the door from either. Suspect One received a university referral for disorderly conduct for disturbing the residence on the eighth floor of Kay’s Hall.
