Arkansas State volleyball went 1-2 in the Georgia Tech Classic, falling to Ole Miss and Georgia Tech but dominating Wofford in the second match. 

A-State took Ole Miss to a five game set, winning sets two and three, and maintained close scores on the sets they fell on.

Throughout the match against the Rebels, the Red Wolves recorded a total 57 kills, 13 errors, 124 team assists and a hitting percentage of .355. The Rebels, on the other hand, had 60 kills, 36 errors, 137 team assists and a hitting percentage of .248.

Outside hitter Kaitlin Whitlock and outside hitter Devyn Lewis had the most kills with 18 each in the match and Whitlock had four aces. Lewis, outside hitter Payton Van Veen, middle blocker Haley Glunz all recorded four blocks against the Rebels. Setter Erin Madigan had 30 assists on the day and libero Mia Maloney had eight digs. 

Ole Miss would proceed to lose to Georgia Tech before shutting out Wofford in the final match of the tournament. 

The Red Wolves went on to play Wofford on Saturday and took the match in three sets. Wofford only scored 12 and 15 points in the final two sets.

Against the Terriers, the Red Wolves had a total of 46 kills, 13 errors, 96 team assists and a hitting percentage of .344. Wofford had a total of 21 kills, 16 errors, 86 team assists and a hitting percentage of .058.

Middle blocker Daedrianna Cail led the Red Wolves in kills, scoring 12 for the team and having the most blocks with five. Whitlock stays consistent by recording another four aces in the match while also having 10 total digs. Madigan had another great assist match, leading the team with 22.

Wofford went through the Georgia Tech Classic without winning a single set.

A-State finished out the tournament by playing Georgia Tech on Sunday and while the Red Wolves won the first set, 27-25, Georgia Tech would go on to win three in a row in close sets.

The Red Wolves recorded 54 kills, 23 errors, 155 team assists and a hitting percentage of an even .200. The Yellow Jackets would have 58 kills, 31 errors, 161 team assists and a hitting percentage of .168.

Van Veen and Whitlock had the most kills on the Red Wolf roster, both with 11. Madigan had two aces during the match and 23 assists. Cail had six blocks during the four sets and Maloney had 15 digs against the Terriers.

The Red Wolves will head back to Jonesboro to play the sixteenth-ranked Missouri Tigers starting on September 4 at 7 p.m.
