Look! Students show off their Red Wolf pride

Nate Martey, a senior general studies major from Ottawa, Canada, said he transferred to A-State because he wanted a bigger school feel and enjoyed the community.
Gianni Burton, a first-year early childhood education major from Olive Branch, Mississippi, said she came to A-State because she is close to home. She said, so far, she has enjoyed her time on campus and likes meeting new people.
Nursing majors, Kaliya Lek, a senior from Palestine, Arkansas, and Rhemia Lewis, a junior from West Memphis, Arkansas, said they came to A-State due to the quality of the accredited nursing program and the high student graduation rate.
Cinthia Islas is a senior accounting major from Jonesboro. “I came to A-State because it was close to home and a lot of my friends already came here so it was a nice community,” she said.
John Thompson is a first-year political science major from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. “I had the option to go to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff,” he said.”But I just really think that A-State had a good way of reaching out to our generation here in Arkansas.”

Ethan Richmond, a first-year strategic communications major from Jonesboro said he came to A-State because he has close to a full-ride, making A-State the best financial decision for him.
Emma Kate James, an undecided first-year from Rodgers, Arkansas said, “I chose to come to A-State because of the community. It’s so welcoming and loving and everybody is happy.”
First-year students Amanda long (left) and Katie Ruszczak. Long is a sports management major from Orlando, Florida and Ruszczak an exercise science major from Arlington Heights, Illinois. Both students said they came to A-State because they were recruited for the bowling team. Ruszczak said A-State’s history of being one of the top bowling teams in the NCAA influenced her decision to choose A-State.
