Arkansas State Volleyball went three for three in their games at the Razorback Invitational, claiming victory over North Dakota State by 3-1, Southern Illinois by 3-1, and Arkansas by 3-1.

Arkansas State showed impressive play in all three matches, claiming 50 kills against North Dakota State, 60 kills against Southern Illinois, and 56 kills against the University of Arkansas.

A few stand out players for the Red Wolves include number middle blocker Daedrianna Cail who walked away from the event with 39 kills and 22 blocks, and outside hitter Kaitlin Whitlock who got 39 kills and 42 digs. The Red Wolves scored a total of 230 points across all three games with their highest scoring game being against the Razorbacks.

One of the most notable things about the Red Wolves performance in theRazorback Invitational was their improvement across the event, starting with a hitting percentage of 0.110 against the NDSU Bison, that percentage rising to 0.204 against the SIU Salukis, and then reaching its peak against Arkansas Razorbacks when it rose to .328.

Their hitting percentage wasn’t the only improvement that A-State saw improvement across the three games however, as their season high record of blocks was broken twice, first in their game against Southern Illinois with 16 blocks then again in the following game with 19 blocks.

After the Razorback Invitational, the Red Wolves are standing tall with a four-gamewin streak as they face down the Georgia State Panthers.
